Late | Repayment is late for more than 1 day but within 30 days. The credit facility however does not exhibit potential weaknesses in repayment capability, business, cash flow or financial position of the issuer. |
Past Due | The credit facility exhibits potential weaknesses that, may adversely affect repayment by the borrower at a future date, and warrant attention and monitoring. Characteristics of “Past Due” credit facilities include the following: (i) Non receipt of scheduled instalment/repayment for more than 30 days but less than 120 days. (ii) Difficulty in reaching the Issuer (including Guarantor(s)), or demonstrated characteristics that may indicate their inability to repay. |
Doubtful | The outstanding credit facility is more than 120 days but less than 180 days in arrears and exhibits signs that the prospect of full recovery of the outstanding credit facility is questionable and the prospect of a loss is high, but the exact amount remains undeterminable as yet. |
Loss | The outstanding credit facility is not collectable, and little or nothing can be done to recover the outstanding amount from any collateral or from the borrower generally. Credit facilities past due for 180 days or more fall under this classification. |
Closed Off | All avenues of recovery are exhausted with no future repayment expected and no further accrual of interests or late interests will be recorded. |
